The Man Behind the Music

     Hello, I'm Normanglenn, an independent songwriter whose journey through music began with a childhood filled with the melodies of The Beatles echoing through my home. Since those early days, my passion for songwriting has grown, evolving from small acapella tunes to intricately woven compositions.

     At the age of 12, I started experimenting with songwriting, crafting lyrics to accompany my budding melodies. Despite lacking formal training, I found solace in my parents' piano, where I could translate emotions into music.

     My musical path took an exciting turn at 18 when I crossed paths with Dave Koff, a talented guitarist. Together, we embarked on the creation of Artica, fueled by our shared vision of originality and musical exploration. With Demetri Fields, a skilled drummer from England, and Terry on bass, our band began to take shape.  However, differing opinions on our musical direction led to the eventual split of Artica. While some sought the allure of cover songs, I remained steadfast in my belief in the power of original compositions.

     Life took its course, leading me to marriage and fatherhood, yet my love for music never waned. Despite the challenges, I continued to refine my craft, infusing my songs with personal experiences and heartfelt narratives.

     My music defies easy categorization, blending elements of country and folk with modern beats, creating a sound that resonates with listeners on a deeply personal level.
